Every day there are women and men who are assaulted, in dysfunctional and
abusive work and personal relationships, and people who put their
personal safety at risk because of a false sense of security.
What steps can you take to ensure your safety every day?
How do you take your power back after losing self-esteem and confidence?
How do you gather your strength to leave when you feel like you are imprisoned?
\\
According to a Government Household Survey, (2013):
Violent crime rate went up 15 percent last year, and the property crime rate rose 12 percent,
the government said, signs that the nation may be seeing the last of the substantial
declines in crime of the past two decades.
The Stop Violence Against Women Project, sponsored by the
Advocates for Human Rights reported that:
40-70 percent of women murder victims are killed by an intimate domestic partner,
The statistics continue to grow.
According to a White House Report in 2014 -
"It is estimated that 1 in 5 women on college campuses has been sexually assaulted during their time there,"
GirlOnFire provides education and realistic resources, tools, and empowerment so men and women
can keep their power, or take it back, and avoid being victimized in any way.
